As a Director of Photography, I am drawn towards character studies. I enjoy exploring the human psyche and complicated relationships- between people, themselves, or places. I am most visually inspired by photography of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, as the buildings seems to cup its occupants. When framing, I aim to place characters snuggly in the location as if they belong there. Geometry, balance and an emphasis on space / depth are prevalent themes in my work. I enjoy lighting to direct the viewer's eye and emphasize the forms of subjects and locations. I gravitate towards low-key lighting that compliment and accentuate composition.
