Custom 6x6 Stained Glass Gel Frame
This custom 6x6 Gel Frame was made in order to create a heightened and stylized stained glass effect. The effect required a large amount of coverage, as the shot began in an a wide of the altar before pushing into a Medium Close Up.
In order to create a stained glass effect with a lot of spread, I decided to make a custom gel "rag" on a 6x6 frame and shoot an M18 through it. I designed the pattern and selected the gels that made up the frame. Kayla Garcia assisted me in assembling the gel frame. We joined the cuts together with clear packing tape, and protected the creation with an additional 6x6 frame of heat shield.
